Halloween 2022 Home Tour: My Living Room

It’s a toss-up this year which room I love more: my bedroom or my living room.

All October posts are part of the Countdown to Halloween!

For the second year, I took all my year-round decor (including a TON of books) off my shelves and replaced them with Halloween decor. It’s a heck of a job hauling all those boxes to and from my storage unit…but it seriously pays off.

Because I don’t have a mantle, I like to make the wall above my TV my focal point of the room…and no two years have been the same if you go back through the home tour archives.

This year, I was inspired to use some of the Halloween neon signs I’ve added to my collection. It’s a little too bright to have on while watching a spooky movie, but I really like how it turned out when it comes to giving my living room the perfect Halloween glow.

Enjoy this year’s living room decor in today’s home tour!

My Halloween Neon Living Room

Welcome!

Here are a few wide shots. I rearranged my living room since last year, and it was fun to decorate it for this Halloween season.

I love all the glow in this photo. And I had fun creating a black bat wallpaper using fabric from Joann’s to create the backdrop for my neon lights.

I also decided to frame my neon lights using the one that typically hangs above my TV with a print inside. It was a fun way to add a little dimension to the lights.

This was a new purchase for 2022. It’s a spinning light, but it has a setting that just glows. I used both I bought on shelves, but these would be fun on top of the bookshelves flanking my TV stand to project the designs onto the ceiling—an idea for next year!

I really love the ghosts.

A vintage Ouija board from the 1960s, manufactured in Salem! One of my favorite things I own.

One of my favorite things I’ve done this year is incorporate photos of my Halloween friends (now that I finally have some from Halloween season!) into my decor too.

I love how cozy these chairs feel.

I love the glow of this shelf.

One of my impulse buys this season: this neon light bulb. It was too cool and unique to leave behind.

Honestly, this skull jar is year-round living room decor.

Thanks for taking a tour of my Halloween living room!

If you missed it, check out how I transformed my front door into a spooky entrance, and stay tuned for my bedroom at the end of the week.
